It is up to us! The States couldn't agree. The State delegate count is close: Obama - 25, Clinton - 24, Edwards - 18. Kucinich is also still in the race.

It appears the American People are waiting to know who the members of the People's Democratic Club think is the best person for President. The answer will come at our PDC meeting on January 17th 7pm at London-Nelson Center, Santa Cruz.

Since the polls have been misleading, we will forbid any national polling of our members. Nor will we allow any PDC members to appear on Fox News. In addition, the Candidates have not been invited. The PDC members are a well informed and strongly opinionated group. We can make our own decision. (Also, many PDC members are actively working locally on all four candidates campaigns.)

We will start our meeting with an open discussion period where everyone will have an opportunity to tell who they support and make a brief pitch for their candidate. Then we will have a secret ballot vote. However, to make it more interesting, we will use instant-runoff voting to determine the eventual winner. We will explain how this works at the meeting. Basically you rank the candidates: first choice, second choice, third, etc.

If you already know who you are going to vote for, come to the meeting, vote for your person and tell us why you think he/she is the best. If you haven't decided, this will be a great opportunity to learn more about the candidates.

We will also discuss and possibly endorse the ballot measures while sharing information and opinions about them.

Like the State Democratic Primary, all Democrats and Decline-to-States are welcome to participate. People's Democratic Club meeting: January 17th, 7pm at London-Nelson Center, Santa Cruz.

A fun, fabulous outdoor dance party in support of Obama. There will be hors d?oeuvres, an open bar, and dancing lessons at 5:00 pm for those who want them. We?ll put on music for swing, salsa, polka, waltz, foxtrot, cha cha and good old free form rock n' roll.
